Soundtrack to "What the Hell?!?!"

Tue Aug 5, 2008, 3:13 PM
I've been working on a new project, and I've been leery of posting anything up on Deviantart concerning it for a long time. I've had artwork stolen before, and while that bothers me... there's something that pains me even MORE.

When someone steals my IDEAS!

I'm not saying it's anyone here on Deviantart. Back in the day I was developing a story about fish-people, with a clown-fish being the main character. Sound familiar? Yeah... I was developing the story when I was still in high school, and then when Finding Nemo came out... they used every single fish joke I had come up with. I was furious... but accepting of it. I should have beat them to the punch... so I started work on another story. A panda who learned martial arts...

You can see where this is going, right?

So pardon me for being just a little supersticious about posting up my ideas about original stories. Since I won't reveal the plot... I will reveal the music I've picked out for it. Honestly, if you're creative... and you listen to all of the songs in the right order, you could probably figure out the entire story...

Anywho, I present to you the soundtrack to "What the Hell?!?!"...

1. Sugarbomb - Hello
2. The Rasmus - In the Shadows
3. Twisted Sister - Burn in Hell
4. AC/DC - Damned
5. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
6. Within Temptation - Gatekeeper
7. Ozzy Osbourne - Dog, the Bounty Hunter
8. Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
9. Dio - Holy Diver
10. Rob Zombie - Demon Speeding
11. Ram Jam - Black Betty
12. Epica - Cry For the Moon
13. Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
14. Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train
15. Nighwish - Eva
16. AC/DC - Highway to Hell
17. Nightwish - End of All Hope
18. Nightwish - Kinslayer
19. That Darkness - One Way Ticket
20. Nightwish - Ocean Soul
21. Kamelot - March of Mephisto
22. Blue Man Group - Club Nowhere

I was really going for a classic rock feel for all the "hell stuff", and an opera rock feel for all the "heaven stuff". There are a few songs that aren't in the soundtrack, but inspired events in the story... such as "Don't Fear the Reaper" by the Blue Oyster Cult, "Magic Man" by Heart, and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band.

I wish I could tell you more...

wow dude that sucks ]=, art theft and idea theft is something im worried about.. i wouldnt want my character/created species to be stolen but i wouldnt even know how to protect it.. i mean what if someone else comes out with what i got, i dont mean to step on your toes but.. it is possible for someone somewhere else in the world having no knowledge of what you are doing come up with something similar or exact of what you have... o.o i was hoping to see the mario project you were talkig about in action.. like a first page or something but i guess this is the reason you didnt submit anything new >.<
hope things go well for you

Yeah, posting stuff online is difficult. No lie there, dude.

At the very least, though, I'd be happy that I came up with ideas for amazing movies. Can't personally say I came up with something like Kung Fu Panda, but you can. >.>

You didn't even get into the Special Thanks for the credits of Nemo or Kung Fu Panda, did you?

Not to my knowledge... I'll have to check that. ;)

It's definitely possible for someone to have the same idea. Great minds think alike... but I wish they'd stop thinking like mine.

The Mario project wound up being an absolute beast of a story. What started as a little project became a monstrous story that spanned a good 9 or 10 notebooks alone. I haven't given up hope, but it needs some serious trimming story-wise.
